- CDBurn.exe from the Windows Server 2003 Resource Kit - http://fyad.org/iujo (Or similar ISO burning utility like BurnAtOnce)
Software Preparation:
- Download the Ultimate Boot CD (UBCD from now on) from a mirror to a working computer system.
- Download and install the Windows Server 2003 Resource Kit on the same computer.
- Use CDBurn.exe to burn the ISO image of the UBCD to a blank CD-R. The example syntax is as follows assuming the iso file is called ubcd.iso and your cd burner is drive d:
- CDBurn.exe d: ubcd.iso
- When the disk has finished burning, bring it to the computer in question and insert it in the cd-rom drive. When you power on the computer you are going to diagnose, quickly press all of the function keys. If a boot menu comes up, you should select to boot from the CDROM drive that you put the disk in. If you are unable to get a menu to pop up, please refer to this reference or your motherboard's user manual to do so.
